Will I be awake and aware during hypnosis? Will I be under your control?
Hypnosis is a natural yet altered state of consciousness, much like that drifty state you experience when you accidentally zone out while driving and miss your exit. If an animal jumped out in front of your car while you were in that state, you would still be able to slam on the breaks. You are still awake and aware and under control of yourself. I have no power or control over you, nor can I make you do or say anything you do not wish to do or say. Trust the power of your mind. You are your own inner hypnotist, I am just here to guide and facilitate the process for you.
Will I be able to remember the session afterwards?
Yes. This is clinical professional hypnotherapy and you are always told to remember the experience. We do not even deal with post-hypnotic amnesia as you might see with a stage hypnotist.
How many sessions will I need?
Hypnosis is a process. Profound results can and do happen in just one session, yet that is not always the case. The more you engage in the process and the more you give to it, the more it will give to you.
How does it work?
The subconscious mind is immeasurably more powerful than the conscious mind. As we have certain experiences during our developmental years, we develop belief systems, emotions, and behaviors based upon them. Often, we are not consciously aware of any of this, yet our subconscious remains in the driver seat. When we can put the conscious mind to the side and speak directly with the subconscious mind, we are able to get to the true root of the problem, and once we find it, then we can resolve it. From there, we can reprogram the subconscious mind with more positive and appropriate belief systems by and through which to live.
